Blog Tag: 7 Songs that I Love

I happened to be looking at my Technorati filter of myself…yeah I’m vane like that…and I noticed that I’ve been tagged! Thanks to Mrs.B who had tagged me with the blogging challenge of listing out 7 songs I love. She was tagged by Chris Brogan who had been tagged by 7 year old Aidan Hatch.

I should have figured that eventually chain letters, turned chain emails would soon reach the blogesphere. So here we go!

My music taste is pretty diverse, though I tend to favor the Hip-Hop. I will try to present some variety in my choices, but damn this is harder then I thought it’d be! I’ve decided my 7 will be songs that, for the most part, make me want to get up and move.

Baby got Back by Sir Mix a lot
Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite
This too shall pass by Matthew Ebel (a new fav)
Superstition by Stevie Wonder
Whip it by Devo
Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin (purely for teh drums)
Mickey by Toni Basil

(apologies for not linking all these songs, but my corporate interwebs restricts me from pretty much everything!)

Okay now, the rules are that you need to indicate the people in your chain so Aidan Hatch, Chris Brogan, Chris Penn, Chris Brogan, and Mrs.B. Then include this post when you tag the next person.

Now I gotta tag 4 ppl and this is hard ’cause I don’t really know that many bloggers so here goes….I’m tagging: Lynette Radio , Kit Maitland , John Swords, and Nick Starr

Something in the water?

So I’ve been intending to write a lil something all week long, but never quite found the time. I even made a list of topics that I wanted to include so I wouldn’t forget when I finally sat down to write. That list will have to wait…..

I sent an email out today to everyone, with a few exceptions, in my address book announcing that The-Broad-Cast Forums had been relaunched and inviting all my friends and fans of the show to check them out, sign up, and hopefully even contribute to the lil community we are attempting to grow.

One of the responses I received came from an old friend, one who I was very close with all through elementary school, but had not been very good in keeping up with. I end up calling her on my ride home and we get to chatting about what is new and what we’ve been up to….much to both our surprise we’ve practically been living parallel lives. Pretty much our whole relationship history is identical! It’s so surreal and I’m still having trouble absorbing it all.

So, how on earth does this happen? Is it a result of our upbringing? Were we conditioned early on in a manner that would lead us down similar paths? Was it simply something in the water we digested at an early age? Or are we some social experiment for a higher being?
