Hello?

Is anyone really listening? I mean, I don’t really expect that anyone would find me so interesting as to want to read/hear anything I have to say. I guess I’m really just going thru the motions with all this web 2.0 shit…besides, all my friends are doing it. I don’t even think I really know what 2.0 is. Was I supposed to upgrade or install a patch?

I’ve got blogs and micro-blogs and profiles and podcasts but some days I’m really not even sure why. Does it make me a better person? Am I contributing to society or just mucking up cyber space with my rambling?

*sigh*

These thought brought to you by the fact that I can’t surf the internets at work.

St. Patty’s / St. Jude’s Charity Events in SoHo

Last month we held a charity event in SoHo to benefit victims of the Hurricane Katrina. In lieu of Valentine’s Day, we celebrated Mardi Gras with a Resident float parade, concerts by Sebastian Jacks – SoHo Resident and amazing pianist from New York City based band Dick Richard – http://dickrichard.com and Weiss Plessis of Uncle Seth – SoHo Resident, Podcasters, and Awesome Musician. Located in Toronto, Canada – http://musicface.com/uncleseth. Over all we raised about $50 USD which was give to a family who were victims of Hurricane Katrina and are still working to rebuild the live they once knew.

Life’s Little Pleasures

Some times in life you discover that some of the simplest things can give you pleasure. This morning I discovered one that had been over looked for some time. A New Toothbrush! Yep. Not only is it pink, but it has all kinds of fancy bristles to massage my gums. It was a great start to the day. I was tempted to pack it in my purse just so I could brush a few more times at work, but I have a slight phobia about the germs floating in the atmosphere of our employee restroom so I passed.

Road Rules

Driving to work this morning I experienced one of my greatest annoyances with stupid drivers. I’m cruising at 45 down hill, 3 lanes of traffic on both sides of the road. On the *other* side of the road is a funeral home. There happened to be a service for a local Fire Fighter so there were about 6 fire trucks lining the shoulder of the *OPPOSITE* side of the road. Why did I have to slam my breaks and nearly stop my car? There was no accident, nothing blocking the road, absolutely NO reason to disrupt the flow of traffic other than some rubber necking idiot sticking his nose in other people’s business. THIS is how accidents happen. Too many people are worried about what everyone else is doing. Eyes forward and drive dammit!!

Tweety Tweets & Random Rambles

Hi my name is Diva and I’m a Twitter-holic. It’s been 20 minutes since my last tweet and I’m not sure I’m gonna make it to my next.

My palms are sweaty and my mouth is dry. I can’t see to focus on anything and there is a constant ringing in my ears.

Hallucinations of what my friends are doing flood my mind…I feel my life is so incomplete not knowing…Did Lynette make it to the train on time? Is CC’s basement still flooded? Did Britney get hit on by the gas attendant? Did Gideon make a last will and testament post before killing his account? Wonder what Jay is listening to. What is Mrs. B gonna have for snack? Is Bucket Jen eating more Snackerdoodles? Why does she call them Snackerdoodles? I always thought they were Snickerdoodles? What exactly is in a Snickerdoodle? Damn, I just realized I missed the pizza party with my project team! Why didn’t my calendar remind me? Why didn’t some one call? I wonder if they even noticed I wasn’t there. Maybe they didn’t tell me so they could have more pizza! It was prolly greasy anyway. Maybe I’ll make pizza for dinner. Better pick up some peanut butter to since I always burn the pizza. They should make peanut butter flavored bread. That would save me a lot of time. Just pop it in the toaster and yumm.

My co-worker is singing again…I don’t recognize the tune… why is it that every time I push play on my ipod the phone rings? Kinda like how it always rains after you go to the car wash. They should only operate car washes on Sundays, that way it will rain on Monday and out of all the days it seems most appropriate. Was there a song about rainy Mondays? Manic Mondays I know…but mine haven’t really been too manic…more of a regular pain in the ass.

Think I’ll take a walk…see how Hazel’s weekend was and hit up Steve-o for some gum. Steve should really stalk watermelon gum since it’s my favorite. I’ll have to remember to let him know to stop for it on his way home. :)
