This week I’m veering off just slightly to bring you some Moombahton!

Wait, you don’t know Moombahton?  I was exposed to this new genre a few months ago thanks to PartyBen. It’s a sound invented by Dave Nada. It happened one night at a house party when he slowed an Afrojack remix down to 108 beats per minute (interview).  Essentially it’s reggaton meets dutch house music … and it’s fabulous!

My first track is the inspiration for today’s post. It’s nearly 30 mins of pure, rump-shakin, remix ala Moombahton.

First and Foremost – R.I.P Whitney Houston. You were a major music icon to me growing up and despite the path you chose for your life, you will never be forgotten.

You may or may not realize that this Tuesday is Valentine’s Day. While it’s just another day for many of us (singles) there are plenty of LOVE inspired mashups out there to help you celebrate … or to help drown out the sound of cupid’s arrow as it strikes all the love crazy couples in the world.
