As with my first life, I have found myself fully intrigued by the fashion industry, the fashionistas, and the hottest trends appearing within Second Life. I subscribe to many RL blogs on SL Fashion and check their feeds a million times a day. Shopping is an addiction, but it’s also a source of therapy for me. Nothing makes me happier than a new pair of jeans or a cute pair of shoes….don’t even get me started on jewelry!
So the other night I decided to attend the Grand Opening of Lollypop Extraordinaire’s new Island/Store on Extraordinaire Isle. Despite the massive lag in the region, due to the event’s popularity, I was able to pick up a few new items for my virtual closet. There must have been at least 100 avatars in attendance at the peak of the event and no doubt a result of Lolly’s generous Door Prize of $10,000L. In addition, two modeling contracts were up for grabs. I didn’t really know what I was walking into, but when the contest board was rezzed I decided what the hell, I gave it a click and entered my name. The way this contest was set up was that each contestant’s name appeared on the board and bystanders were to vote by clicking the name of their choice.
Well, for those of you who know my SL history as former Big Brother Second Life resident, campaigning for votes is old school to me. A quick call to my fellow PodStars and PodStar Fans and soon I was surrounded by familiar faces. They suffered some frustration with the lag and the voting board, but their efforts paid off….I WON!! How freekin exciting is that?
So now you are prolly wondering what exactly it is that I won, huh? Well….ummm….I’m not quite sure!? Hahaha…Yeah, Lyn – I totally entered a contest, won, and have no clue about what I won. 
I did receive an invite to the Extraordinaire Employee’s Group with a fancy tag stating “Extraordinaire Model” and a cute lil necklace of the same verbiage.
After consulting my friend and *Personal Stylist* Celebrity Trollop I am under the impression that I will be modeling some Lolly’s new releases….ugghh…I think it’s time to start a virtual crash diet.
So stay tuned for more on my quest on becoming SL’s Next Top Model….. (I should totally convince Tyra to host an in world version of the show…and I’ll play the role of Janice Dickerson!)
