Yay!!!! At this week’s weigh-in I was down just under 2lbs!! This brings me to just over 1lb total lost for the 3 weeks since joining Weight Watchers, which I know isn’t really anything to be too proud of, but I’m just glad I was minus this week.
I’ve started adding more salads to my daily meal plans which are easy to toss together and at the movies last week I packed a baggie of carrot sticks in place of popcorn!
I also attended my first Zumba class last week and discovered that I have way less coordination than I thought and my feet are far from Latin when it comes to moving….think Elaine from Seinfeld trying to dance. It was a lot of fun though and I am looking forward to going again.
Something else I am excited about are the new Kellogg’s FiberPlus Antioxidant Bars in Caramel Coconut Fudge. Recommended by Hungry Girl as a swap for the Girl Scout’s Samoas cookies!!! I guess word must have gotten out because there were only TWO boxes left on the shelf at the super market when I nabbed one. I haven’t tried them yet, but they look really good and knowing how good the other flavors are I am sure they will rock.
In other food news… I went out to eat at Applebee’s and was happy to see they had Weight Watcher’s PointsPlus values on a few of their menu items now and “skinny bee” margaritas and mojitos on the liquor menu. I have never been a fan of Applebee’s but you can’t really go wrong with liquor and the skinny mojito was pretty good!!
For my entree I had some paradise chicken salad which was listed at only 8 points. I wouldn’t order it again. I don’t know if they ran out of lettuce or if the dish is supposed to be lacking, but there were only about 6 pieces of real lettuce in my “salad”. The majority of the dish was chicken and cabbage. I certainly don’t mind cabbage and the chicken was tasty, but I would have traded half my chicken for 3 times more lettuce.
So over all a good week and hopefully the upcoming week will bring more good choices in what I put in my mouth. Maybe I’ll even get my butt back in the gym and rack up some activity points so I can splurge on a small McDonald’s Shamrock Shake for a whopping 15 points!! … AKA 3-on hour Zumba classes!
