Calling all Single Bloggers!

I’ve been blogging and podcasting for a few years now and with that comes the occasional opportunity to leverage my site as a means for promoting events, people and of course products, but what about Advertising?

How does a single chick like me even get started with Advertising anyway?

Well, SingleEdition.com has the answer! They are building an awesome blog network for singles like me who write about dating, cooking for one, living single, and much much more!!

Are you in?

Learn all about it at SingleEdition.com/Join-Our-Blog I’m really looking forward to being part of this new venture and watching it grow and I hope to see all my single blogger friends doing it too!

A Step Closer to Living the Life I Love

Last night I attended the last of three “Live the Life you Love” events in NYC this year presented by SingleEdition & Spark Networks at the Samsung Experience Store in Columbus Circle.

First off, what a great venue! As much as I enjoyed last year’s, which took place in the shoe department at Saks, this year I got to play around with some shiny gadgets! If there is one thing I love as much as shoes it’s gadgets!! 😀

Annnnnyway – the sessions were great! I always take away so much from these events from networking with other single women to the the speakers…and ironically there is always one topic that applies to my present day life.

Not only did I have a chance to chat with a few of my NYC Relationship Blogging Idols – Laurie & Jill of eFlirtExpert, Nando of Nandoism and Simone Grant of Sex, Lies and Dating in the city.

We also listend to advice from a panel of experts on dealing with fear and rejection in relationships, steps to take towards getting the job of your dreams, how to handle sexual harrassment and discrimination in the work place, and tips on taking control when meeting men.

A couple resources I’d like to share are:
http://www.thefearlessfactor.com/ Overcome fear and anxiety so you can create greater confidence and communication in your life.
www.85broads.com & www.napw.com Two sites to help women career minded women get ahead.

I’ll also be stopping by my local library in search of a couple books I was turned on to at the event:
The Working Woman’s Legal Survival Guide
The Happy Baker Cookbook

This event has truly brought me one BIG step closer to living the life I love and hopefully by passing on a bit of what I learned can help you too!

Whoa November

Last night I caught a tweet from my dear friend Lynette with a link to her post on November being National Podcast Post Month. Turns out it’s also National Blog Post Month or NaBloPoMo 🙂 along with a few other causes all centered around content creation as she explains.

Well, I failed on the Podcast efforts, but since I actually happened to blog yesterday let’s see how far I can take this month long challenge to produce some content! …. Notice I didn’t say “quality” content 😉

Day 2 and My November is already off to a great start! Yesterday I started a new month’s challenge at the gym and when I got home I made a big ole pot of meatballs and sauce (yes I had meatballs for breakfast – what?).

Today I am ditching work early to Rock the Vote! Don’t forget FourSquare peeps, when you check in at your voting location you get a fancy “I Voted” badge! Revision: Be sure to Shout: I voted to get your badge!

Then I am off to the city for SingleEdition’sfinal “Live the Life You Love” of the year and I am truly looking forward to this event and the awesome women I expect to see in attendance.

This evenings topics cover How Guys Really Think and How to Get the Right One Interested in You, Discrimination against singles in the workplace, and Insights on how to  handle rejection in relationships.

If you are a single woman in NYC and you can get yourself to the Samsung Experience store in Columbus Circle tonight by 6:30pm I highly suggest you do so!
